The Cappadocia hot air balloon tour begins early in the morning with a hotel pick-up arranged according to sunrise time. Guests are transferred from their hotels to the balloon company’s meeting area, where a light breakfast is served and a short pre-flight safety briefing is provided by professional pilots.
After the briefing, guests are taken to the designated launch site, selected based on wind direction and weather conditions. Most balloon flights take off from Göreme, Çavuşin, Ortahisar, or Uçhisar areas. As the sun rises, the balloon gently lifts off, offering breathtaking views of Cappadocia’s unique landscape.
During the 45–75 minute flight, the balloon drifts over some of the region’s most iconic valleys, including Göreme Open Air Museum, Love Valley, Sword Valley, Rose Valley, and Red Valley. The flight combines low-altitude passes close to fairy chimneys with higher panoramic views, providing excellent photo opportunities.
The landing takes place at an officially approved landing area around Göreme, Ürgüp, or Avanos, depending on wind conditions. After landing, a traditional post-flight celebration is held, and guests receive a flight certificate as a souvenir.
The tour concludes with a return transfer to the hotel, typically between 8:00 and 9:00 AM. The entire Cappadocia balloon experience lasts approximately 3 to 3.5 hours, making it one of the most memorable activities in Cappadocia.

Cappadocia hot air balloon tours take place early in the morning at sunrise. Guests are usually picked up from their hotels between 05:00 and 06:00 AM, depending on the season. After the transfer to the take-off area, a short briefing is given, and the balloon flight lasts approximately 60 minutes.
Following the flight, a small celebration ceremony is held, and guests are dropped back at their hotels around 08:00 – 09:00 AM. Exact times may vary depending on the season, sunrise time, and weather conditions.
Children under the age of 6 cannot participate in the balloon tour.
Pregnant women cannot participate in the balloon tour.
